Peace of mind and simplicity: Fiat Tipo S-Design is equipped, as standard, with some of the very latest safety systems. As well as 6 airbags and the ESC system with Hill Holder, it includes ABS (wheel anti-blocking system) complete with electronic braking corrector (EBD), fog lights with cornering function and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Fiat Tipo S-Design has 6 airbags, including front, window-bags and side-bags, to guarantee you the maximum protection in every trip you make.
The highest levels of active safety and perfect control during braking in emergencies or on slippery surfaces, thanks to the sophisticated ESC stability control system. The system includes ASR/MSR (Anti-Slipping Regulation and engine drag torque control), PBA (Pre-Collision Brake Assist), TSC (Trailer Sway Control), HSA (Hill Holder), ERM (Electronic Rollover Mitigation) and TCS Traction Control System).
Thanks to the Brake Control System, Tipo S-Design identifies potential collisions and automatically activates the braking system.
The Tipo S-Design Adaptive Cruise Control System uses its front radar to maintain the preset safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
With the speed limiter, the new Tipo S-Design will keep to the speed limit you have set
The ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) system uses the brakes and engine control to optimise Fiat Tipo S-Design's traction at any speed, even on low-grip road surfaces at any speed.
The Hill Holder assists the driver during uphill starts by holding the brake on for about 2 seconds, making it easier to set off again, with no need for the driver to use the brake.
Thanks to lavish use of high-strength steels (about 80% of the total) and structural adhesives, New Fiat Tipo S-Design has a rigid, lightweight frame. The overall result is excellent handling and impressive collision resistance, combined with lighter weight.
Thanks to the independent-wheel McPherson struts at the front and interconnected wheel torque beam at the rear, new Fiat Tipo S-Design offers a reliable, lightweight efficient combination.
The Frequency Dependent shock absorbers filter forces more effectively and reduce roll when cornering.
